Initial thoughts, this paper seems cool!

I am exciting to get an insight on coding and AR. This week I found my self a group that is interested in the same ideas as me for this paper. We are all very keen to focus on the art gallery, which also excites me.

I am a second year Design student and last year I did a coding paper that I found very difficult, and if I am being honest it grew a hate relationship with coding because of it. I hope that this paper grows the love part of a love hate relationship.

For those that asked, a little bit about me.

I am studying a conjoint of Design and Science, double majoring in Environment Sci and Exercise Sci. I am in my second year for design and first year for my sciences.

I am from Christchurch and came up just to study. The youngest of three and my other to siblings have jobs in Auckland also. We are all dyslexic plus my dad, it is my mum that is the odd one out and she is actually a school teacher (ironic).

I play Hockey and have been since I was 6. I love the sport and it keeps me very busy. It is challenging to do next to studying as it is a lot of time and there are some tournaments here and there to take up a week or weekend. However I am trying to get a career out of both my studies and hockey so they both need my equal attention.

From the second season just been, we had a tutorial for making snap chat filters. this was fun and semi-easy to follow which made it a bit more fun. It will be cool to go home and just have a play around with what else can be done on the program lens studio. I loved being able to use the lens I made on my snap chat and send it to my friend. Bit of a flex making your own snap chat filter.

Assignment 1

Augmented Reality Prototype

This week was just working on this assignment. I was looking forward to completing this one because I use Snapchat all the time, some would so too much! So making a Snapchat filter to use for it was exciting. I usually find coding assignments difficult however this one was made easy with the program we used having the script graph aspect, a really helpful tutorial, and also the help of Ben.
