We are what we choose,

the people that we let stay,

the things that we keep.

Haiku by Tyler Knott Gregson, from TarcherPerigee, a division of Penguin Random House. Copyright 2015, Tyler Knott Gregson.

For poster three we had to narrate a story related to our chosen haiku in 12 blocks.

This was my first idea. I came up with a When: 20th birthday

Where: at home

Who: 19-20 either a frog, human or dog.

I wasn't interested in having human form because of my ability for drawing them.

Environment: I said at home at a birthday party.

I wasn't highly passionate about this story idea as it was very interesting. The twist and reveal were very low impact.

I attempted the create a story with the main idea being the main character finds them self, discovers who they are. Finds their strength and weaknesses with their family and home contributing to their findings. My first idea was not successful in telling this story.

My next idea was inspire by the movie Zootopia and children animation movie directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore.

The idea of this story board is that the the main character Frogo compares him self to the other police. This make him feel small, undervalued and he loses who he is, stopping him form doing what he dreams. He goes home after the other police officers show him anger and disappointment. When he goes home to discovers his strengths and weaknesses and remembers who he is with the help of his family. He realises everyone has strengths and weakness it is how you use them.

In result of his discovery, he returns to the police academy with confidence in who he is and out shines the other police officers.

The next thing to think about was the composition of the story board. I did lots of trails to find the right measurements and placement. I did this on a 20x20 square.

I decided to use colouring pencils and water colour as my choose media as I am looking the narrate the story to a younger audience. This is because this is a message that the earlier it is heard the better.

When I put all the the squares together I released that it isn't easy to distinguish the different scenes in the story. The solution I found for this it boarder for each scene.

I decided to collage in police badges so they would work as a sign and signify the characters acting as police.

This is my final poster. I think it is successful in the way it looks as it captures the intended younger audience.

Story board it read horizontally, with the two horizontal, top right corner scene read one after the after.
