For this first design sprint, it gave me a taste of what the next two were going to be like. The challenge of learning a new program as well as designing can be restricting what you create.

The first design sprint was the UX/UI transport app for a six-year-old.

The design sprint started with making assumptions for the transport app. Making assumptions of the six-year-old like its ability to read and follow instructions and ask questions like how independent is a six-year-old and do six-year-olds have phones.

With these assumptions and research findings, it was straight on to ideating some transport apps. I decided that children at the age of six don't need a phone and created an app for the parents and caregivers to create and plan the child's transport plans and have it connected to the child's smartwatch. This smartwatch will use sound, vibration, and visuals to remind and notify the child of their transport plans.

From these sketches, I developed it more and took it to Figma. This was my first time using Figma so I allowed some time to learn the tricks of the trade to Figma and what the soft wear could accomplish.

I thought it would be effective if the child can customise the visuals and sounds on the apple watch. This way it is more personalized will capture the attention of the child more.

Creating a flow for the app was difficult as there are so many options and it starts to get confusing with all the lines going across your screen of Figma. The key to a good app is one that is easy to navigate through.
